Suleyman Demirel University Turkey is a public university established in 1992 in Isparta city. The faculty of Engineering and Architecture is the first faculty in the university which was formerly known as Isparta State Engineering and Architecture Academy founded in 1976. It ranks in No. 26 in Turkey and in No. 2371 worldwide. The university with more than 45,000 students and 1,500 teachers is the second largest academic institution in Turkey. The university is known for its programs in agricultural research, medicine, engineering, and business sciences.
Suleyman Demirel University Turkey is approved by the Turkish Ministry of Senior Education, and passing the YÖS exam is not required for the university registration. It has a strong infrastructure in senior education, and the university occupies today a prominent place among other senior education institutions with its academic units, teachers, number of students, scientific research and physical capacity, in addition to its cultural, social and sports activities.
Suleyman Demirel University Turkey ranks currently among the major and well-known educational institutions in Turkey for its quality of education and the amazing teaching staff. it aims to be a research-oriented university, according to its strategic plan. 29 research and implementation centres are operating in scientific and technological areas and form the basis for the implementation of this strategic goal; its priority research areas cover environmental sciences, biotechnology, energy and technology sciences. Suleyman Demirel University Turkey main campus is located in, and occupies most of, the Çünür suburb of Isparta. The university has 300000 square meters built area in 10000 decare land.
